1837 Adam's Variant Regel
1837 was developed by Leonhard
Lonny
Orgler. It is a 18xx-game, which is influenced by 1835.
Why this variant
- In the 1837-games, which I played, you count the sum of the shares of
the three government-railroads of the players and you know already
who will win, namely those, who own most of the government-shares.
- The three government-railroads (kuk, Süd and Ungarn)
are very mighty in comparison to all other railroads. Seldom or never
one of the other railroads reaches the course of one of the government-
railroads.
- The player, who gets several
Südbahnen during the auction at the beginning, has a huge advantage
against those players, who only get coal-railroads.
But a players has no influence on getting a Südbahn-hare, if
these shares are bought at full price.
- Therefore the coal-railroads will be upgrades relativly to the
government-railroads.
Changes of Rules
- A player does not have to change his coal-railroad, after
the matching corporation has no more share in its initial offering.
- The Startcourse of the Südbahn is 120,
the Startcourse of the Ungarn is 142.
- If there is no share of a corporation into the Bankpool
or into the Initial offering after a share round,
the course increases to upper right in every case.
The course never increases to upper left.
- The price of the KuK2 is 120 Kronen, The price
for builing of hex
G15, in the west of Vienna is 30 Kronen.
